The City Government of Puerto Princesa thru Hon. Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn, Vice Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron and the City Councilors hold by gracing the 4th Pangalipay sa Baybay held annually in barangay San Isidro every last week of April.

Five days of fun and excitement with various activities as follows: the traditional sport of cock fighting; Palarong Pambansa boxing bout and amateur boxing tournament; competitions such as cheerdance, sing-along, bulilit pop star, chorale singing, body building, danzlam, modeling, dance sport, and battle of the bands; and 60 seconds to fame. Two sets of fireworks display from Bgy. Bagong Pag-Asa and Bgy. San Isidro enchanted the crowd.

The 5th Petron ladies’ beach volleyball tournament highlights the festivity as this is the first time that the City of Puerto Princesa hosts such event.

To start the opening program, a parade that starts form Mendoza Park to Baywalk participated by the competitors of above competitionsnon-government youth organizations and barangay officials. Hon. Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn formally opened the program with the amazing fireworks that signaled the 2008 Pangalipay sa Baybay was formally opened.

The said activity started last April 2005, thru the brilliant mind and idea of our “Action Man” Vice Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron. “Isang maligayang pagkakataon upang masaksihan ng ating mga mamamayan ang dahan-dahang pagbabago ng Puerto Princesa sa pamamagitan ng coastal renewal”, he said during his inspirational message.Also, he added to the Puerto Princesan’s delight by saying, “You are the wind beneath our wings.”

Through the three host barangays, barangay Pag-asa, San Isidro and Tagumpay with their responsible barangay captains Hon. Larry Morales, Hon. Allan B. Naraga and Hon. Vic dela Cruz respectively supports the Pangalipay sa Baybay Festival. The different activities starts at 6P.M. up to midnight.
