MANILA, Philippines – The international education organization "Up with People," in partnership with the city government of Puerto Princesa, is holding a benefit concert on Saturday.
Their event dubbed “A Song for the World” will start 7 p.m. at the Puerto Princesa City Coliseum.
It will be a 2-hour gig featuring the performances of 100 Up with People representatives from 20 different countries.
Admission to the event is free of charge.
However, everyone is encouraged to donate non-perishable food, rice, toys and clothing for the benefit of the Eusebia Palomino Learning Center.
Up with People is a global education organization that aims to bring the world together through service and music.
This will be the group’s 4th visit in the Philippines. Their first tour in the country was in 2007.
To make the Up with People team’s visit in Puerto Princesa memorable, Mayor Edward Hagedorn has invited them to explore the province's treasured Underground River, which was recently included in the provisional list of the world’s new 7 wonders of nature.
Hagedorn and the Up with People delegates will visit the Underground River on November 21.
