PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan MAY 2 (PIA) --- The Puerto Princesa City Water District (PPCWD) will begin planting trees monthly at the Irawan Watershed in Barangay Irawan in May, its media office said.
The monthly tree planting project, said Katya Santos of the PPCWD media office, will now be a regular routine of the employees following a memorandum order from General Manager Antonio Jesus R. Romasanta.
Santos said if the employees are only used to planting trees during the celebration of the World Water Day and the Pista Y Ang Kagueban, this time, Romasanta will lead all of them to a monthly mass tree planting in Irawan.
The general manager, according to Santos, wants the PPCWD to take the lead in preserving and conserving the watershed to continuously serve the residents of Puerto Princesa with safe drinking water.
