VP Binay to award 300 land titles in Palawan

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, April 13 (PIA) -- Vice President Jejomar Binay and Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) will award 300 individual land titles tomorrow at the VJR Hall of the Provincial Capitol.

The awarding of the land titles is in line with the present administration’s goal of providing homes to the low-income and marginalized sector of the society.

The 300 urban poor recipients of the land titles are under the administration of the programs of the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation, the National Housing Authority and the Pag-IBIG located in this city.

Apart from the awarding of the certificates of land titles, VP Binay is also expected to attend the housing caravan and conference with the local government officials of the different municipalities in the province.

The tight schedule of the vice president includes the keynote speech at the Luzon Island Congress of the Provincial Councilors League of the Philippines and as guest speaker in the commencement exercise of the Palawan State University where he will be conferred Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humanities, Honoris Causa.
