Puerto Princesa, nominado bilang "Philippines Sports Tourism Government Organizer of the Year 2023"

Sa gitna ng patuloy na pag-usbong ng industriya ng sports tourism sa Pilipinas, isang malaking karangalan ang natamo ng Puerto Princesa, nang ito ay makasama sa nominado bilang “Philippine Sports Tourism Government Organizer of the Year 2023.” Ang nominasyong ito ay patunay ng pagsusumikap at dedikasyon ng lokal na pamahalaan sa pagbuo at pagsuporta sa mga programang nagtataguyod ng sports tourism sa lungsod. Magaganap ang pagpaparangal sa Axis Nustar Resort, Cebu sa darating na Nobyembre 22 handog ng 6th Philippine Sports Tourism Awards.

Isang malaking karangalan para sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa na ihayag ang pagho-host nito ng 2024 International Canoe Federation (ICF) Dragon Boat World Championship, na gaganapin sa  Oktubre 28 hanggang Nobyembre 4, 2024.  Isa itong prestihiyosong paligsahan na dinadaluhan ng mga pinakamagagaling na koponan ng dragon boat sa iba’t-ibang panig ng mundo.
