For the delegates of Palarong Pambansa ’08 who are not familiar with Puerto Princesa City, the City Traffic Management Office (CTMO) has put up assistance booths at Mendoza Park and Biochemist Drug along Rizal Avenue from April 22 to 27. The office hopes to address concerns of the public on traffic matters. The booths operate from 9 a.m. to 12 nn and from 2 to 6 p.m.
Western Visayas claimed the first gold medal at stake in Palaro 2008 when 18-year-old Sharmaine Joy Bucaling ruled the secondary girls’ javelin throw Monday morning. Bucaling, a native of Dingle, Iloilo, registered a 33.95-m effort to edge Richelda Pepito of the host region with her 32.09 throw and Jancell Candelaria of Bicol (31.86).
