Officials from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) paid a courtesy visit to Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron today, July 29, 2026 to present the BaLinkBayan Project, the Overseas Filipinos One-Stop Online Portal for Diaspora Engagement.
The BaLinkBayan Project is a digital platform that connects overseas Filipinos with their hometowns by providing opportunities to invest, donate, transfer knowledge and skills, and support local development initiatives through partnerships with local government units.
During the meeting, the CFO discussed its proposed partnership with the City Government of Puerto Princesa, which aims to establish a localized BaLinkBayan portal that will encourage overseas Puerto Princesans to actively contribute to the city’s growth and development.
Mayor Bayron welcomed the presentation and emphasized the importance of initiatives that strengthen ties between overseas Puerto Princesans and the City Government, recognizing their valuable role in supporting the city’s continued progress.
