Jail Chief Inspector Gilbert B. Anza made a courtesy call to Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, the new City Jail Warden of Puerto Princesa City Jail–Male Dormitory, on August 10, 2026.
The visit aimed to formally introduce the new City Jail Warden and further strengthen the relationship and cooperation between the Puerto Princesa City Government and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), particularly in programs focused on public safety, rehabilitation of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), and community development.
The possible areas of collaboration and programs that could be advanced through stronger inter-agency cooperation were also discussed.
The City Jail Warden of the Female Dormitory, SJO4 Consuelo M. Basaya, and other representatives of Puerto Princesa City Jail were also present at the brief meeting.
