1ST QUARTER CPOC MEETING

Under the leadership of Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, strengthening peace and order remains a top priority of the Puerto Princesa City Government, recognizing its vital role in driving economic growth and building investor confidence.

During the 1st Quarter City Peace and Order Council Meeting held on March 26, 2026 at the City Health Medical Complex Conference Room, the Mayor emphasized that a safer and more secure Puerto Princesa encourages more stakeholders to invest in the city, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for Puerto Princesans.

“Peace and order is everybody’s business. Everyone must get involved, support, and work together to make Puerto Princesa a peaceful city,” Mayor Bayron said.

Reports from key agencies highlighted continued gains under the Mayor’s direction. The Philippine National Police reported improved crime indicators. Supporting the city’s direction, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) presented updates on the Barangay Drug Clearing Program, reflecting continuous efforts to validate and sustain drug-cleared and drug-free communities across Puerto Princesa. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection reported improved emergency response, resulting in reduced fire damage despite ongoing operational challenges.

The council also discussed key measures, including the installation of CCTV systems across barangays and the adoption of the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan 2026–2028 to strengthen public safety in the city.

Mayor Bayron reaffirmed the City Government’s commitment to sustaining these efforts, emphasizing that strong leadership, coordination, and community cooperation remain essential in maintaining peace, order, and continued progress in Puerto Princesa.
