QUEZON CITY, Nov. 11 (PIA) -- The voting for Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature will end today at 7 p.m.
Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward Hagedorn who was guest at today’s edition of the Communication News Exchange Forum (CNEX) at the PIA urged all Filipinos to vote for the PPUR, as this not only meant honor for Puerto Princesa but for the whole country.
A UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site, the PPUR is vying to be included as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Including the PPUR, there are 28 nature sites from all over the world competing.
Voting can be done online via www.new7wonders.com or through sending an SMS. To cast a vote through SMS, one should text PPUR to 2861. There is a P2.50 charge for every message sent.
The SMS vote will also count as a raffle entry to the simultaneously held “Pera sa Kweba” promo, which will pick winners for the following: one winner of P25,000,000 (grand prize); five winners of P1,000,000 (consolation prizes), three winners of P250,000 (monthly draw prize); six winners of P100,000 (bi-weekly draw prize) and 90 winners of P10,000 (daily draw prize).
