PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, Jan. 31 (PIA) -- A team from the Norwegian Ship owners Association (NSA) - Philippine Cadet Program under the Norwegian Training Center – Manila is arriving on Feb. 1 in this city to conduct its nationwide information drive and written examination.

The team headed by George Frange, Program Manager of the NSA Philippine Cadet Program will visit Palawan National School, Holy Trinity University, PSU Laboratory High School, Palawan Polytechnic College and two high schools in Narra town.

The team is inviting high school students or those with ages 16 to 22 years to consider its offer of scholarship on Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering. Graduates of these four-year courses can become future ship captains and chief engineers.

The scholarship includes free dormitory and board and lodging, free training and upgrading program and an opportunity to travel worldwide during apprenticeship with high employment prospect.

The team will also conduct a one-day written examination for all those interested on Feb. 4, Saturday at the Performing Arts Center of the Palawan State University. Those interested may apply online through www.ntcm.com.ph.
