Today, August 25, 2026, Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, along with the officials of the Puerto Princesa City Government, and various agencies in the rural barangays of Maoyon, Lucbuan, Maruyugon, Manalo, Salvacion, and Sta. Cruz, conducted a Barangay Ugnayan.
The Barangay Ugnayan is a program initiated by Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron in 2017 to ensure that no one is left behind in the development of Puerto Princesa, by providing services up to the farthest barangay of the City.
Under the Barangay Ugnayan, each rural household receives (8 kls.) of rice per quarter and is provided with various government services such as:
Free medicine, dental, and medical check-ups from the City Health Office
Free vegetable planting and seedlings from the City Agriculture Office
Affordable produce under the Kadiwa Market of the City Agriculture Office
Free vitamins, ligate, and spay for pet owners from the City Veterinary Office
Consultations from the City Assessor’s Office, City Engineering Office, etc.
Handling of documents at the City Registrar’s Office, etc.
The distribution of:
₱3,000 quarterly allowance for senior citizens, PWDs, solo parents, and barangay tanods.
₱6,000 cash allowance for teaching and non-teaching personnel.
Mayor Lucilo Bayron also announced that starting from the next quarter, the digitalization of allowances for Senior Citizens, PWDs, Tanod, and Solo Parents, such as the Student Assistance Program (SAP), will begin.
The Puerto Princesa City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, will continue to provide services to all barangays, towards a progressive Puerto Princesa where no one is left behind.
