Representatives from the U.S. Department of State (U.S. DoS), LEAP Global, and the City Health Office TB Team paid a courtesy call on Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron on September 28, 2026, at the City Mayor’s Office.
The visit forms part of the team’s monitoring activities in Palawan and Puerto Princesa City for the implementation of the TIFA Health Commitment Grant (HCG), particularly initiatives related to tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control.
During the meeting, the delegation shared updates on the implementation of the program in the City, including TB active case finding, service delivery, health financing, community management, and sustainability.
The team also discussed with Mayor Bayron opportunities to further strengthen and sustain TB services in Puerto Princesa City.
