MAYOR BAYRON WELCOMES PACTAP NATIONAL CONVENTION IN PUERTO PRINCESA

Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron welcomed delegates and officials during the opening of the Provincial and City Treasurers Association of the Philippines (PACTAP) National Convention held today, March 25, 2026, in Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa, Puerto Princesa City.

In his message, Mayor Bayron expressed appreciation for choosing Puerto Princesa as host, recognizing the importance of bringing together public servants committed to strengthening governance and service delivery.

“We are honored that you have chosen Puerto Princesa as the venue for this important gathering. Rest assured that our city remains ready to support initiatives that strengthen collaboration, improve governance, and benefit our communities,” Mayor Bayron said.

He described Puerto Princesa as the gateway to Palawan and a center of trade and governance, highlighting its strategic location, rich coastal resources, and stable environment.

Mayor Bayron added that tourism continues to drive the city’s growth, with expansion in eco-tourism, cruise tourism, sports tourism, and MICE or Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions.

He emphasized that hosting conferences and similar events strengthens not only the local economy but also the connections between institutions working toward a shared goal of better public service.

The Mayor expressed hope that beyond the sessions and discussions, participants will bring home meaningful insights and strengthened partnerships that will create a lasting impact in their communities.
