For the first time, the World Table Tennis (WTT) Feeder Series will be held in the Philippines, with Puerto Princesa City being chosen as the host city. The WTT Feeder Series is one of the major international table tennis tournaments and has a total prize money of $30,000 or approximately P1.8M for the winner.
The WTT Youth Contender will be held in the city again for the fourth consecutive time. This year, the total prize money is $1,000 USD or approximately P61,000 for the winner.
The WTT is a global commercial leader in the field of table tennis. It is the commercial & events company of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Athletes from different parts of the world are expected to participate, such as the United States of America and Asian countries like Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, and China Taipei, as well as our country.
In addition to the excitement of sports tourism in the city, the City Government and Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron are also pleased to provide opportunities for local athletes to participate in international events such as the WTT, without having to spend a lot.
The schedule for the two high-level WTT events to be held at the Edward S. Hagedorn Coliseum in Brgy. San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City is as follows:

In connection with this, a coordination meeting was held on July 16, 2026, attended by Mayor Bayron, City Sports Head Atty. Rocky Austria, and City Engineer Aries Grande, who is also the president of the Puerto Princesa City Table Tennis Club. Philippine Table Tennis Federation Incorporated (PTTFI) National President Ting Ledesma, PTTFI Treasurer & Board Member Ma. Theresa Deniega, and URC Trainer Rachel DL Ramos also participated in the meeting.
