Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron led the oath-taking of the new halal Board of Officers of Puerto Princesa City Tourism Council Inc. (PPCTCI) on July 15, 2026.
As part of their sworn duty, they pledged to support programs and initiatives that will further energize the tourism industry of Puerto Princesa.
After the oathtaking ceremony, there was also a brief meeting where Mayor Bayron personally shared the planned tourism activities in the city, plans, and other opportunities for stronger cooperation between the City Government and the private sector in promoting tourism.
Here are the newly-elected officers of PPCTCI:
President: Bryan John S. Dizon
Vice President: Peter Michael S. Castro
Secretary: Elmer Vuelba Gregorio
Treasurer: Christy Factor Jimeno
The mayor is pleased with the continued collaboration between the local government and the private sector, which he said is an important key to strengthening tourism and further developing the city. This is in line with his statement during the Budget Forum for Fiscal Year 2027:
“The government lays the foundation; the private sector builds upon it; and together, we can achieve faster and more meaningful development.”
