“If you have a project, make sure you are there. Keep a close eye on it. ”
This was the reminder of Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo R. Payron to the engineers and architects of the City Government for the inauguration of the new City Engineering and Architecture Building in Barangay Sta. Monica last July 7.
The project comprises Phase II of the City Engineering and Architecture Building, including the concreting of the access road and installation of office fixtures and furniture, to further strengthen the City Engineering Office’s capability in planning, designing, and managing the city’s infrastructure projects.
According to the mayor, the new building is not only a new facility but also a recognition of the City Engineering Office’s vital role in implementing infrastructure projects in the city.
“I chose to build this project because the work of our engineers and architects is important. This is recognition of their service so that they can work harder and improve their work,” Mayor Bayron said.
Meanwhile, City Engineer Aries Grande and City Architect Honesto Teves thanked Mayor Bayron for their continuous support in their office. Anila, the new building will enhance the capabilities of their staff in planning, design, and implementation of projects, and pledged to continue their service for the benefit of Puerto Princesans.
