Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron reaffirmed the support of the City Government of Puerto Princesa for the national government’s priority programs after participating in the Cities Information Session on the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) on March 6, 2026.
The meeting discussed key initiatives that local governments will help implement, including the Bagong Pilipinas Rice Program, which will provide 10 kilograms of rice every two months to identified families, as well as various infrastructure projects aimed at improving essential services in communities.
Puerto Princesa City is among the local government units included in the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) under the LGSF, which supports community development projects such as roads, health facilities, water systems, renewable energy, and multipurpose facilities.
Mayor Bayron emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the national government and local government units to ensure that programs and services effectively reach communities in Puerto Princesa City.
