PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, 28 November (PIA) -- The National EconomicDevelopment Authority (NEDA) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will beholding the Mid-Year Philippine Economic Briefing on December 8 at the HotelCentro here
This briefing is the MIMAROPA leg of the domestic roadshow which is regularlyconducted by NEDA and the Investor Relations Office of the BSP. This year’s themeis “The Philippines: Reaching for Investment Grade through Good Governance.”
The briefing aims to inform the business community and other stakeholders fromvarious sectors about the key highlights on the country’s economic performance inthe past semester and the changes in the assumptions in the economic planconsidering recent global market situations.
It will focus on communicating the government initiatives towards good economicgovernance underpinned by its strategic development framework. This frameworkis focused on improving transparency and accountability, strengthening the macroeconomy, financial and capital mobilization and facilitating infrastructure developments.
Representatives of the Economic Team of the Aquino administration will be arrivingfor the PEB with the participation of the National Competitiveness Council Co-Chairman Guillermo Luz of the Makati Business Club.
Invited were the members of the Regional Development Council of Region IV-B,business community, academe, local government units, non-governmentorganizations and the media.
