PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, Feb. 6 (PIA) -- The Technical Education Skills Development Authority-Palawan will launch on Feb. 10 its Specialista Technopreneurship Program (TSTP), creating employment opportunities for the trained and certified Palaweños while addressing demands for services by the households and communities at the multi-purpose hall of the Puerto Princesa School of Arts and Trades.

The goal of the program is to achieve inclusive growth in technical-vocational education through institutions that unite, infrastructures that connect and interventions that target.

Its major strategy is the creation of four groups of related skills and services that are commonly demanded by households in a residential area and community. The first group is the building and house repair and maintenance services such as plumber, electrician, carpenter, mason and painter. The second group is the beauty care and wellness services like manicure, pedicure and foot spa, massage and hair care services. The third group involves appliance repair services such as refrigerator and air conditioner repair, television repair and other appliance services. The fourth and last group is the automotive and vehicle maintenance services which involve automotive services and troubleshooting and small engine repair services.

Each group will have a maximum of 10 trained and certified “specialista” who will respond to the demands of clients.
