-Dr. Juancho Monserate, Chairperson of the
Committee on Health and Sanitation, advised the participants on the recently concluded Solidarity Meeting on April 5,2008 to bring a bottle of drinking water during the parade and on the competition proper of the MIMAROPA Regional Athletic Association Meet The said reminder was to prevent the incidents of casualties due to the extreme heat of the sun during the last Palarong Pambansa on Koronadal City. Wherein, according to some reports, hundreds succumbed due to the unusual intense heat. Also, he stated that there will be drinking water stations that will be available in all playing venues during the meet. Monserate also mentioned that participants should also bring their own hats, hand fans and sun glasses.

According to him, since each delegation has its own medical team, the city will not provide the other delegations a medical team anymore. But in case of emergency, the city referred the Ospital ng Palawan to be the hospital that will be attending the medical needs of the participants of the MRAA. Also, the transportation of the patient can be called thru the Kilos Agad Action Center with these numbers: (048) 434-94-26 and (048) 433-53-22.The athletes will be free of charge from the hospital, but the officials and the other adults who are connected with the MRAA
will be charged thru their PhilHealth. Monserate also stated that there will be 98 personnel to be deployed on the playing venues during the MRAA Meet. On April 8 and 10 (Tuesday and Thursday), the sanitary inspectors will visit the mess halls and toilets of each delegations to ensure sanitation.
