The Ambassador of India to the Philippines, H.E. Harsh Kumar Jain, paid a courtesy call on Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron today, February 18, 2026.
The visit forms part of the Ambassador’s familiarization tour of the Philippines and aims to deepen understanding of Puerto Princesa’s rich history, vibrant culture, and growing economic landscape.
During the meeting, discussion centered on potential areas of collaboration between India and Puerto Princesa, particularly in trade, tourism, economic development, and other sectors of mutual interest. Both leaders expressed optimism about fostering stronger people-to-people ties and partnership that could benefit the local economy.
Also present during the meeting were City Tourism Officer Demetrio C. Alvior, Jr., City Administrator Atty. Arnel M. Pedrosa, and the Acting City Director of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) PCOL Cristine M. Tabdi.
