Puerto Princesa, Sept 24(CIO) - Sa layuning mapibilis ang kumpirmasyon ng TB cases sa lungsod, pormal na inilunsad ang DETEC TB project sa pakikipag-tulungan sa Korea Foundation for International Health (KOFIH), World Health Organization (WHO), Korea Institute of Tuberculosis (KIT), Department of Health (DOH) at City Health Office. Dumating sina Dr. Lee Soo-Ku, president ng KOFIH, Dr. John Patrick Ehrenberg, Director ng WHO, DOH Undersecretary Dr. Pauleen Jean Opial at Dr. Gloria Balboa, DOH Regional Director upang saksihan ang pormal na paglulunsad ng nasabing proyekto.

Puerto Princesa City, Aug. 9, 2012 (CIO) - Isang resolusyon na humihiling kay City Health Officer Dr. Juancho Monserate na gumawa ng epektibong istratehiya para maprotektahan ang mga bata ng lungsod laban sa kumakalat na sakit na Enterovirus-71. Ayon kay Konsehal Modesto V. Rodriguez, ang Sangguniang Draft Resolution no. 300-12 ay naglalayon na makagawa ng malawakang impormasyon si Dr. Monserate hinggil sa kumakalat na sakit na Enterovirus -71 nagmula sa bansang Cambodia. Ang virus na ito ay pumatay na ng mahigit sa limangpung bata sa nasabing bansa.

National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) MIMAROPA Director Oscar Balbastro confirmed this in his presentation of the Regional Situation Update in the Philippine Economic Briefing (PEB) held this morning at Hotel Centro this city.
He said that the province is a major player in the seaweeds industry not only in the region which accounted for more than 90% production but in the country as well producing 444,355.44 metric tons in 2010.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, July 05 (PIA) -- United States naval servicemen, with their Filipino counterpart who are participating in the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2011, conducted a medical and dental mission in Bgy Tagabinet, Puerto Princesa City on June 29, benefiting hundreds of residents of the village.
