WV netters prevail

Western Visayas dominated Ilocos, 2-0, in the pre-dusk gold medal match in the elementary girls’ team event competion at the Palawan Provincial Police Tennis Court on April 22.

The lawn tennis trio of Marian Jade Capadocia, Hannah Gloria Emnace, and Juvilyn Barquin foiled their Ilocano rivals in the singles and doubles matches.

National Capital Region got the bronze medal following its 2-0 after they outwitted Region III with the score 2-0 in the bronze medal match, making Region III fourth in rank in the Team Event Category.

Today, the 17 Regions will start competing for the individual competition (Singles Bracket A & B – Doubles) and Western Visayas is looking forward to capture the gold medal again both in Singles and Doubles level.
